We offer live-in positions for carers and nurses who are happy to work as carers. Our clients are older people who need general care and support or help with more complex needs in order to remain living in their own homes and to continue to enjoy their life. You may meet people from all walks of life, academia, business, politics and the world of arts. Most of our work is within a 70 mile radius of Oxford, in county towns, and the beautiful rural south-west. You won’t have a better opportunity to get the feel of the English countryside. We also have work in London so there’s plenty of variety in the locations on offer.
We were established in 1967 and now specialise in providing live-in help and care for our clients. We are a friendly and independent agency still owned and run by partners Jo McDougall and Jackie Hammersley, since 1967 and 1981 respectively. Our business is well run and respected and has earned an excellent reputation over the years. We take as much interest in you as in our clients.
We believe in doing what we say. You will only be offered and placed in work according to your skills level and aptitude. You will be individually matched to a client placement by the care managers after they meet and get to know you. We train and support you throughout your work with us. Longer-term placements are for 12 weeks or more so you don’t have to keep moving around. You will accrue one day’s paid holiday for every 12 days you work on assignment. You can take paid holiday between assignments or payment in lieu when you leave to go home or travelling. You can earn between £4,620 and £6,258 PLUS holiday pay for 12 weeks work.
